You don’t have to wait until the week-end to have fun. The BLWA host the Tuesday Night Sundowners 9-hole golf league. A sunny afternoon, 9 holes of golf followed by dinner, a beverage or two and lots of camaraderie. What could be better? Throw in a Fun Night and a Guest Day and you can see why this is our most popular league!
In 2011, the BLWA started the Futures League for our beginning golfers. A 3-hole league with lessons from our Pro Staff. A perfect way to start or enhance your skills. Always an enjoyable time with fellow members.
Other golf events include the Ladies Invitational, Westside Cup, Guest Days, and Governor’s Cup.
Evenings of dining at the club, theatre and a limo ride have been a great way for the girls to hit the town and enjoy the club all in one evening. Many members take advantage of the Spa Getaway which provides the ladies an opportunity to relax while the “other half” participates in the Men’s Invitational.
Additional social events include a Fashion Show, Ladies Night at Geva Theatre, Garden Club, Floral Demonstration, Holiday Luncheons, and more!
Women have been an important part of the club since it’s inception, as seen in this video. That legacy remains in place today.
